A Jim Thorpe Christmas

It was beautiful night in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania as the town was celebrating its Victorian Christmas.

Wow! The Original Orlons in Wilkes-Barre Tonight!

~ Honored to Have My Picture Taken With The Original Orlons ~
As an artist participating in this year's window painting event for the Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business Association, I had the pleasure of working at the Anthracite Newsstand today. To top it off, I met members of The Original Orlons, who are playing at The F.M. Kirby Center tonight in Wilkes-Barre. I enjoyed our conversation about music and art. And, yes, I do remember and love their hit songs "Don't Hang Up" and "Wah Watusi." It was a pleasure to meet these gentlemen.

I was also touched when Mr. Stephen James Caldwell Sr. came back into the Anthracite Newsstand and handed me an autographed picture of him and the ladies in the group. It was very sweet of him!

Of course, I had to capitalize on the real "green Christmas" theme again this year since the Anthracite Newsstand sold a $4.2 million lottery ticket in 2011.

Life in the Gilded Age

~ On the way to the Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park, NY ~

~ A beautiful summer home ~

Immediately upon seeing this painting on the second floor I told my friend, "It looks like a Bouguereau." Sure enough, it is.

Here's Bouguereau's signature.
